CUTTING UNIT

In this unit the stripes, strings and ropes coming from the extruder are cut into the length required accordingly to the shape to be obtained. The variable speed of the cutting group allows to adapt the cutter to the production line and hence to make the equipment highly flexible.

The main components of the unit are:

• a group of grooved rollers which grant a minimum contact surface, driving the product at the speed required for a good process

  performance. These rollers are driven by a variable speed motor;

• a series of guides for the product;

• an electric fan and air conveyor to ventilate the product on the belt;

• a cutting group, including a xed blade and a series of hardened stainless steel rotary blades. This group is independently driven by a

  variable speed motor.
